06/2025 – Today: Project Director for the HOU School of Social Sciences project “Tourism and Hospitality Resilience, Innovation, Variability, and Exploration (THRIVE)”, examining how social, economic, environmental, and technological shifts shape the sector. 
02/2023 – 10/2023: Collaborated on the project Support Actions for Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Maturation to Exploit Research Activity and New Products and Services at the Hellenic Open University”. Contributions included developing a quality plan and performance indicators (P2.5) and designing an evaluation system to assess impact, sustainability, efficiency, and effectiveness (P8.1). 
01/2022 – 08/2024: Project Director for the HOU School of Social Sciences project “Work Values and Perceptions of Corporate Social Responsibility in the Workforce of Tourism Enterprises”, examining work values and CSR perceptions in the tourism sector. 
07/2017 – 09/2017: Expert for the Agency for Economic Cooperation and Development (AED) on the project Technical Action to Support Planning and Policy for the Promotion of Sustainable Tourism Development in Greece, specifically Component 3.1, reviewing and upgrading education and training curricula to enhance Greece’s know-how. 
08 – 09/2011, 2010 & 2009: Researcher at the University of Patras on the project SusTen (Sustainable Tourism Entrepreneurship) Mechanism(Project Code C.693), co-funded by the European Union (Interreg-MED) and national resources, aimed at developing and implementing a mechanism for the rational planning and execution of local initiatives to foster sustainable tourism entrepreneurship. 
05/2010 – 11/2010: Research Associate at the Department of Hotel and Tourism Management, Cyprus University of Technology (CUT), on the project “Ethnographic Study of Tourist Experiences”, funded by CUT. Contributions included developing research techniques, as well as collecting and analysing data. 
05/2008 – 09/2008: Rapporteur for Expert Working Group G-3 of the Ministry of Tourism Development in the action “Creation of a Permanent Forum for the Exchange of Views and Experiences on Tourism Education and Training”, under the Operational Programme “Competitiveness”, for the project “Evaluation of Curricula in Higher Tourism Education”
12/2007 – 04/2008: Rapporteur for Expert Working Group B-3 of the Ministry of Tourism Development in the action “Creation of a Permanent Forum for the Exchange of Views and Experiences on Tourism Education and Training”, under the Operational Programme “Competitiveness”, for the project “Mapping the International and Greek Landscape for the Use of New Technologies in Tourism Education and Training”
04/1999 – 09/1999: Research Lead for the study “Assessing the Effectiveness of Bournemouth’s Website with the Use of the Inquiry Conversion Technique”, undertaken by Bournemouth University and funded by Bournemouth Borough Council – Bournemouth Tourism (UK).
